Greetings and Happy New Years my brothers and sisters in Christ! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and that you are ready for 2026! January is a month of fresh starts and new beginnings. This is the time of year that I love sermon planning, filling out my new calendar, and organizing my home. There is something so hopeful and invigorating about starting a new year! Then again, every day is a new beginning when we follow Christ. 2 Corinthians tells us “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Isn’t it wonderful that we don’t have to wait for a new year, a new week, or even a new day to have a fresh start? God is constantly renewing and restoring our relationship with Him and replenishing us from within. New Years can be a fun time to make resolutions and set goals, but if we “fail” at our resolution, we don’t have to wait for a special time to start over, we can jump right back in, because every moment is a fresh start with God. Have you been feeling like you need a fresh start lately? Are you ready to let go of the old and embrace something new? Now is the perfect time, but rest assured so is any other time with the God of new beginnings walking beside us.
May our God of new beginnings bless you this day and always!
